Illustrated below are two varieties of overprint on the Queen Victoria Half Anna (blue-green) issue for the Indian Convention State of Patiala. The earlier version of the overprint issued in 1884 in red and curved around the head of Queen Victoria. The second variety was issued between 1891 - 1896 in black along the lower half of the stamp. Both stamps were used officially.
