Illustrated below is the postage stamp set issued in Australia in 1931 to commemorate the world flights of Kingsfoed Smith. The set had values of 2 Pence (red), 3 Pence (blue) and 6 Pence (purple). A 6 Pence (brown) was added later in the same year. The two lower values were used for postage but the 6 Pence was used for airmail , each stamp use indicated down the left and right vertical edges of the stamps. The 6 Pence (purple) illustrated here also has a "Registered" cancellation.
