Illustrated below is a partial set of the stamps issued for the Silver Jubilee of the Maharaja of Jaipur Sawai Man Singh the second. The Maharaja came to the throne in 1922. The set consisted of a quarter anna (red-brown and green) half anna (green and violet), three quarter anna (black and lake), 1 a (red-brown and ultramarine), 2a (violet and scarlet), 3a (green and black), 4a (ultramarine and brown), 8a (vermilion and brown), 1 rupee (purple and green). Originally issued in 1947 the quarter anna, three quater anna, 3 anna and 1 rupee were issued in 1948. The detail is of the 8 anna coupling a portrait of the Maharaja with the state emblem of the Chariot of the Sun God.

JAIPUR-The Chariot of theSun God Postage Stamps-Indian Princely States
Illustrated below are a partial set of Stamps from Jaipur. The stamps shows the Chariot of the Sun God Surya. These stamps were issued in various forms between 1904 and 1928. The set illustrated below was the 1912-22 issue. The values of the set were a quarter anna( pale olive-yellow), half anna (pale ultramarine), 1 a (carmine), 2 a (green), 4 a (pale brown).
