Shown below are some of the shade varieties of the Edward the 7th 1 Shilling value from the 1902-10 definitve set. Originally printed in dull-green and carmine in 1902 (centre) a subsequent printing of 1910 changed the border colour to scarlet (left). The printing on the right leans more to vermilion and is perhaps an over-inked version of the original carmine.
