Trinidad-1883-Queen Victoria-1 Penny (carmine) Postage Stamp-Illustrated

Shown below is the 1883 Queen Victoria 1 Penny stamp. Part of a set with seven values from a Halfpenny to 5 Shillings. At this time postage stamps showed only Trinidad in the country legend with a side face portrait of Queen Victoria. It was not until 1913 that the legend was changed to Trinidad and Tobago. The set had a Watermark of a Crown with "CA" underneath. The watermark is illustrated below the stamp face illustration. This particular example has a nice clear cds showing locale and date.
