U.S.A. Commemoratives in Blocks of 4-1940's/1950's

Illustrated below are some USA commemoratives in blocks of 4 with guttering and plate number with a pair
commemorating American Poultry Industry.


U.S.A.-1935-Early Special Postage Stamp Printings-National Park Series

Special printings of imperforate versions of previously issued National Parks series were issued in 1935. Some as single imperforates and as side by side imperforate pairs. Two examples below are doubles of the single issues. They show "Old Faithful" the geyser in Yellowstone Park and The Grand Canyon.The full series consisted of 10 issues of scenes or special features of Americas National Parks.

U.S.A.-1933 Imperforate Minisheet-A Century of Progress-Souvenier

Illustrated below is a partial minisheet issued in 1933 in compliment to the American Philatelic Society, in convention at Chicago from August 21 to 26 1933. The sheet was issued in lots of 25 and this sheet has been cut leaving only 12. Two sheets were issued, the other (also of 25 stamps) showing the Federal Building in the city of Chicago.


U.S.A.-Postage Stamps-1937 Imperforate Minisheet-Asheville North Carolina

Illustrated below is an example of the 1937 imperforate mini-sheet issued to compliment The Society of Philatelic Americans in convention at Asheville North Carolina from August 26 to 28 1937. It features the 10 Cent National Parks stamp. First placed on sale at the S.P.A. Convention Station in the Battery Park Hotel in Asheville N.C. August 26 1937.


U.S.A.-The1936 Imperforate Commemorative Minisheet-3rd Philatelic Exhibition

Illustrated below is an example of the minisheet produced for the 3rd International Philatelic Exposition held in New York in 1936. The sheet included Connecticut, California Exposition, Michigan and Texas  commemorative stamps. These were first placed on sale at the exhibition on May 9th 1936.
