Two Issues of the Argentinian 5 Peso Banknote-1947 and 1952-Illustrated

Illustrated below are the obverse and reverse of the Argentinian 5 Peso Banknote issues of 1947 (top) and 1952 -1955. The earlier issue shows Liberty holding a torch with 2 watermarks, in the blank bar below the legend "Cinco Pesos" is the watermark 5 pesos. In the shape behind the arm of Liberty are the letters "AR" (for Republica Argentina). The 1952 issue note bears a portrait of General San Martin with a watermark portrait in profile of the General in the white ovoid shape on the left of the note. The earlier issue is the larger of the two at 142 mm wide x 73 mm high.
