Below is an illustration of an 1858 1 Shilling (vermilion) stamp issued in Tasmania. The stamp was issued imperforate and some shades are known. The watermark in this issue was a double lined "6" or "12". The example below has the "12" watermark, shown in illustration 2. (See other early Tasmanian stamp issues this blog).
