Illustrated below is the 1979 New Zealand 1 Dollar coin. Cupro-nickel. A large coin with a diameter of approx 39mm. Obverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd. Reverse is the Coat of Arms surrounded  by the New Zealand "Silver Fern" leaf.
