PERSIA/IRAN-Some Early Issues Of Reza Shah Postage Stamps-Ilulstrated


Illustrated above and below are some early postage stamps issues of the Pahlavi Dynasty of Iran. Reza Shah was elected ruler of Iran in 1926 after Ahmad Shah, last of the Qajar Dynasty, was deposed.


Persia/Iran-A Partial Set of Ahmad Shah Postage Stamps-Last of the Qajar Dynasty

Illustrated is a partial set of the stamps issued during the reign of Ahmad Shah the last ruler of the Qajar Dynasty of Iran. When the father of Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ali was deposed, 12 year old Ahmad was proclaimed Shah in 1911,under a Regency of Iranian nobles.



Persian/Iranian Postage Stamps-A 5 Chahis-1891 Qajar Dynasty stamp-Illustrated

Below is an 1891 issue from Persia/Iran of the 1891 5 Chahis stamp. The stamps is part of a set issued during the Qajar Dynasty that consisted of a 1 Chahis (black), 2 Ch (brown), 5 Ch (blue), 7 Ch (grey), 10 Ch (rose), 14 Ch (orange), all these values shared the same design. The higher values of the set began with the 1 Kran (blue-green), 2 Kran (orange), 5 Kran (yellow-ochre) and featured the portrait of Mazaffar Din the reigning Shah.
